Riedel Intercom Tips & Tricks: Headphones on the RSP-1216HL SmartPanel

It happens all the time. We call the intercom engineer and ask, “Hey, why are my headphones not working?” But on the Riedel RSP-1216HL SmartPanel, switching from the loudspeaker to your headphones is very easy.

First, obviously, connect your headset to the XLR socket on the front of the panel.

If you see the speaker symbol on the intercom display, the panel is currently sending the audio through its loudspeaker.

To change it, swipe left on the small menu screen on the right side of the panel. You will see a button that switches between the loudspeaker and the headset. Tap the headphones symbol, and the panel will change to headset mode.

Now simply push up the lever of the channel you want to listen to.

Voilà, you can hear everything through your headphones.

No need to call the engineer. Sometimes the easiest solution is already right in front of us.
