One SimplyLive server. Two completely independent productions.
Let’s stop thinking about replay servers in the traditional way. Imagine you have a 16 channel Riedel SimplyLive server. A standard vision mixer is producing the main sports broadcast. Two replay operators are connected to the SimplyLive server and share 10 camera feeds. They create replays for the main production and work within the normal OB VAN workflow, connected to the central vision mixer.

At this point, 14 of the 16 available inputs and outputs are in use.
Now comes the interesting part.
Simply open the third SimplyLive user and launch the Production Module.
Assign the two remaining outputs to this production module.
The third user now becomes a completely independent vision switcher.
This operator has access to the same camera feeds but can create an entirely separate production. They can switch the cameras in a different way, create their own clips, build playlists, play replays, and produce their own independent Program output.
The first production continues normally, with the central vision mixer and two replay operators working together.
At the same time, the third SimplyLive user produces a completely separate show for the internet, social media, stadium screens, a studio feed, tactical analysis, or another dedicated platform.
One server.
Two replay operators supporting the main production.
One independent vision switcher creating a second production.
Two completely different Program outputs.
One shared set of cameras.
That is not just a replay server anymore.
That is a flexible production ecosystem.
That is the future of broadcast. That is the power of Riedel SimplyLive Production Suite Flex. 💙
