BroadcastStrong: EVS Starters

Public·74 students

A quick tip for anyone who wants to become a replay operator:

Don’t limit yourself to just one replay system, for example, only EVS. EVS is a great replay system, and in my opinion it’s the best one to work with. But the reality is simple: the more replay systems you know and can work on, the more job opportunities you’ll get.

If you have a chance to learn another replay system, take it. Even basic knowledge can open new doors and make you more flexible on different productions.

Here’s a real example from yesterday:

A producer for a basketball game was looking for a replay operator who could work on SLOMO.TV,Inc . That’s exactly where versatility matters.

I was on-site and handled everything without any issues: playout, instant replays, and highlights.

This is why I always say: invest in yourself. Learn skills that can help you when you least expect it.
