The team chose Riedel SimplyLive because it gave them what they wanted: instead of separate systems for vision + audio + graphics + replay, they’ve brought everything into a far more consolidated workflow — saving space and optimizing how they operate.
And as stated in the video, the engineers make a key point: if they had chosen other solutions, they would have needed roughly 3–4× more rack space than what they’re using now. For many productions, that alone is huge.
Another game-changer is training speed. As the technical producer says: he can teach the basics in 10 minutes. By the afternoon, students have a solid basic understanding — and within 48 hours, they’re ready to go. That’s a massive advantage in live production.
And what I personally love is the intuitive touchscreen. When I look at my kids (2 and 5 years old), they’re basically touchscreen-native — which tells you everything about how naturally the human brain adapts to that kind of interface. That’s why I enjoy SimplyLive so much, personally.
