“The Tasty Side of Business Talks”

ree

One of the most beautiful parts of my profession is that business talks aren’t just about business — they’re about experiences. When your work is also your passion, every day feels different. Mondays can feel like Fridays, and Fridays like Tuesdays. You stop thinking in terms of hours or office walls and start thinking in terms of people, places, and conversations.

And sometimes, those conversations come with amazing food.

Here in Hilversum Media Park, the beating heart of Dutch and international television, I had the chance to combine both today: inspiring discussions about the future of broadcasting, and a local dish that’s as Dutch as it gets — the “12 uurtje.”

It’s simple, yet symbolic:

  • Landbrood met boerenkaas

  • Landbrood met kalfs- of spinazie-geitenkaaskroket

  • Tomatensoepje

Three different tastes, perfectly complementing each other — just like the best collaborations in our industry.

For me, this is the perfect picture of what I love most: sharing food, ideas, and visions with incredibly smart people, while building projects that push our industry forward.

And when the plates are empty and the talks are done, the growth continues. That’s where our Broadcast Academy comes in.

It’s a space designed for broadcast professionals to learn at their own pace — whether at home, on the road, or between productions. You’ll find:

  • Handcrafted VOD courses to guide you step-by-step.

  • Exclusive manuals you can download directly to your iPhone or Android and carry everywhere.
