In the world of live broadcasting, innovation never stops. And while some systems have long defined the standard, new solutions continue to appear — each offering a different approach to replay, reliability, and workflow design. One of these is Slomo.TV.
I recently had the opportunity to speak with Nadezhda Gretskaya , Global Sales Manager at Slomo.TV. During our conversation, she shared how the company evolved from its early software-driven replay concepts into a full line of compact, cost-effective systems used in sports, e-sports, and live entertainment productions around the world.
Whether you’re an engineer, replay operator, or decision-maker, it’s worth taking a closer look at what Slomo.TV proposes. Explore their philosophy, their tools, and their workflow — and then decide for yourself how it fits into today’s broadcast landscape.

Introduction to Slomo.TV Systems
Can you provide an overview of Slomo.TV and its core solutions in the slow-motion and replay market?
SLOMO.TV produces cost-effective server-based solutions for 4K/3G/HD multi-channel recording, instant slow motion replays, live production and videoReferee® systems for sports video refereeing.
What inspired the creation of Slomo.TV, and how has it evolved over the years?
Having had the experience of working with circuit boards since 1993 and having seen many different types of equipment, the company founders came up with the idea of using these boards to create a replay server. In 2005 the company implemented the world's first software-driven replay system based on Blackmagic DeckLink capture cards.
System Features and Capabilities
What are the unique features of Slomo.TV systems that set them apart from competitors like EVS, DreamCatcher, or K2 Dyno S?
SLOMO.TV does not compete with other companies, but rather supports all major world technologies. SLOMO.TV's extensive product line caters to every budget and task, offering identical features and interfaces across all servers, as well as ensuring consistent working speed.
SLOMO.TV's key features include an intuitive user interface that works twice as fast thanks to two core technologies: automatic playlist creation for highlights and search across all channels. The improved interface reduces the number of actions required by operators for most operations; for example, creating a clip now requires one less keystroke.
Initially offering a multi-channel recording system designed primarily for OB vans, SLOMO.TV now offers multiple capabilities - from recording to editing - managed by a single server. The same server can now be used for replays, multi-channel recording and the video refereeing system.
How do your systems handle live broadcasting challenges, such as latency and reliability?
SLOMO.TV's approach to latency management is based on using the world's fastest interface, made possible by our software-driven system architecture.
SLOMO.TV's unwavering commitment to reliability is manifested in the implementation of an architecture based on Intel technology. Thanks to our extensive operational experience, we have since manufactured numerous components in-house to ensure maximum reliability.
Can you elaborate on the user interface and workflow design? What makes it intuitive for operators?
We have made the system intuitive to an operator. If the operator is not familiar with replay systems, we can teach them the basic operations in 15 minutes. With SLOMO.TV's automatic playlist creation and fast interface, they will be able to create instant replays and highlights almost instantly. Our system has a universal interface that can work with specialized consoles as well as standard mouse and keyboard input.
Market Presence and Use Cases
In which regions and broadcast markets do you see the highest adoption of Slomo.TV systems?
Our systems are widely utilized in Vietnam, and they are extensively used in Georgia and Poland.
Could you share notable events or productions where Slomo.TV systems were used successfully?
We have successfully implemented more than 700 systems worldwide and completed a multitude of significant projects. Most notable are Olympic events and sports competitions, major football events, major e-sports competitions, live entertainment shows, and massive OB van productions.
Technical Specifications
How do Slomo.TV systems ensure high-quality playback and recording under demanding conditions?
Our software-driven architecture is free from hardware constraints. This is its greatest advantage.
Are there specific configurations or setups that cater to different types of broadcasting environments (sports, news, events)?
System fundamentals are common to all settings.
Integration and Compatibility
How do Slomo.TV systems integrate with existing broadcast workflows and equipment?
We produce the world's smallest servers. Even a 1U server can handle 14-channel replays and support two workplaces. Larger SLOMO.TV servers offer even more advanced features and greater reliability. The choice depends on the user's specific needs.
Are there any partnerships with camera manufacturers or other hardware/software providers to enhance system performance?
We have developed strong relationships with camera manufacturers such as Grass Valley, Sony and Panasonic - we integrate virtually all SSM manufacturers. In today's workflow, integration is a priority for us.
Training and Support
What kind of training and support does Slomo.TV provide for engineers and operators?
Currently, local dealers are in charge of this task. We are also developing instructional videos for various components of the system. In addition, we have created a course and training technology using our Academy server. It is primarily designed for VAR operators, but can also be used to train replay operators.
Are there any plans to collaborate with institutions like the University of Television for training and certifications?
Certainly, it is of great interest for us to explore the possibility of cooperation with such institutions. In this regard, you can contact our dealer in Poland.
Future Developments
What innovations can we expect from Slomo.TV in the coming years?
We are undergoing a significant transformation, evolving into a comprehensive company that provides a wide array of products and services. Our portfolio now includes an extensive selection of hardware and software solutions, and we are also enhancing our support services to offer even more value to our customers.
Are there any plans to introduce new features or systems that target specific broadcast challenges?
We always have plans in place, both for implementing standard improvements and for introducing new features. Stay tuned for more to come in 2025!
Feedback and Improvement
How do you gather and implement user feedback to improve your systems?
We collect and analyze user feedback through various channels, including online reviews and direct customer surveys. We prioritize critical feedback to address urgent issues and improve our systems. Positive feedback and suggestions for new features also guide our development efforts, helping us enhance existing strengths and identify areas for further growth.
Are there any recent updates or bug fixes based on user reports?
