In this episode let's focus on aux clip. I'll show you how to create it easily in the EVS IPDirector. Did you know that adding music to a playlist is simpler in IPDirector than in EVS LSM?

First, let's explain what an aux clip is. An aux clip is an audio track that can be added to a playlist in EVS IPDirector to enhance or replace the original audio during playback. For instance, during a live production, an aux clip can be used to add music to a closing montage.
In my work with the IPDirector, I've frequently created clips where I've added music. Typically, these are materials used for program endings or show previews.
Creating an aux clip in EVS IPDirector is a very straightforward process:
Open or create a playlist in the Playlist Panel.
Open the database explorer and find your audio clip. (can be added earlier by engineer or you have to create it)
Drag and drop the music clip to the no Auxiliary clip area of the Playlist Panel tab. The name of your audio clip appears in this area.
EVS IPDirector will automatically generate an aux clip, seamlessly integrating the music into your playlist. That's all there is to do it.

WARNING: Remember to change the output setting from PRV output to PGM output. Without this change, you won't hear the aux clip.
